Property Access
After the Trail offers convenient self check-in with a smart lock. A personalized entry code and detailed arrival instructions will be provided before your stay.
Guests have access to the cabin and its outdoor spaces, with the exception of any locked owner’s storage areas.
Important: Cell service can be very limited near the cabin. We strongly recommend downloading your arrival instructions, saving your door code, and loading directions before heading into the mountains.

House Rules
Primary guest must be 18 years or older to book.
Occupancy: Designed for 2 adults. An air mattress may be available for small children with prior approval.
No smoking inside the cabin or on the premises.
No pets allowed.
No parties or events permitted.
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Please respect neighboring properties and keep noise to a minimum.
Do not feed or approach wildlife. Never leave food or trash outside, as bears and other wildlife frequent the area.
Wood-burning stove: Guests must follow the provided operating and safety instructions.
Guests are required to review and sign a rental agreement after booking. A secure electronic link will be sent before arrival. Government-issued identification may be required.
Mountain Notes
After the Trail is located in the Smoky Mountains, where roads may be winding or steep. During winter weather, 4WD or AWD may be recommended.
Cell service is limited near the cabin. Please download maps for offline use and save your arrival instructions and door code before traveling. WiFi is available at the cabin.
The cabin is surrounded by a natural wooded setting, so you may encounter wildlife, including bears, deer, and other animals. Never feed or approach wildlife.
During fall and winter, ladybugs and Asian lady beetles are common in the Smoky Mountains and may occasionally find their way indoors despite regular pest control.
Please dispose of all trash in the designated receptacles and keep food and garbage secured. Never leave food or trash outdoors where it may attract wildlife.
The bedroom is located upstairs in a loft, so guests must be comfortable using stairs.
Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is Firm.
• Full refund for cancellations made 30 days or more before check-in
• 50% refund for cancellations made 7–30 days before check-in
• No refund for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip in the event of unexpected changes.
Refunds cannot be provided for events outside of our control, including weather conditions, natural disasters, power outages, or travel disruptions.
